For TradingView on 2 screens, a modern 6-core processor with 16GB RAM is enough; for 4 or more screens with many charts, choose 32GB RAM and a graphics card with at least four display outputs. TradingView is light on raw power but heavy on memory once you open many chart layouts, indicators and browser tabs.

TradingView PC specs by number of screens
| Screens | Processor | RAM | Graphics | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | 6-core (Ryzen 5 / Core i5) | 16GB | Built-in graphics is fine | 500GB NVMe |
| 3–4 | 6–8 core | 32GB | Graphics card with 4 outputs | 1TB NVMe |
| 6–8 | 8-core or better | 32–64GB | One card with 4 outputs + built-in, or two cards | 1TB NVMe |
What actually slows TradingView down?
- RAM: every open layout, replay and heavy indicator uses memory. When RAM runs out, charts stutter.
- Single-core speed: chart drawing and scripts depend on fast cores more than many cores.
- Display outputs: the number of monitors depends on the ports on your graphics card and motherboard, not on processor power.
- Internet: a stable wired connection matters more than any upgrade for live data.

Browser or desktop app?
TradingView runs in a browser and as a desktop app. The desktop app makes it easier to spread chart windows across screens; either way, the same RAM rule applies. If you also run MT5 or broker terminals, add 8GB to the numbers above.
Our recommendation
Most traders we set up are happiest with 32GB RAM and four screens. See our trading PC guide for Zerodha, TradingView and MT5, the trading PC collection, and how many monitors you need.

Frequently asked questions
How much RAM do I need for TradingView?
16GB for one or two screens with a few layouts; 32GB for four screens or many layouts with heavy indicators.
Does TradingView need a graphics card?
Not for one or two screens — built-in graphics is enough. A graphics card is mainly needed to connect three or more monitors.
Is an i5 enough for TradingView?
Yes. A recent Core i5 or Ryzen 5 handles TradingView comfortably; RAM and screen count matter more.
Can I run TradingView on 6 monitors?
Yes, if your graphics setup has enough outputs — for example a card with four outputs plus the motherboard's outputs, or two graphics cards.
Laptop or desktop for TradingView?
A desktop is better for three or more screens, easier to upgrade and cooler for long market hours.
