Buy laptops, monitors and accessories in the festive sale if the price beats last month's; buy a full custom PC from a builder. Amazon's Great Indian Festival opens on 8 October 2026 and Flipkart's Big Billion Days on 9 October (early access 8 October). Sale discounts are real on ready-made devices, but a PC built from parts bought across different sellers carries compatibility, warranty and return risks that a discount rarely covers.

Festive sale dates 2026
| Event | Date | Notes |
|---|---|---|

| Flipkart Big Billion Days | 9 October 2026 | Early access 8 October for Plus/Black members |

| Dhanteras / Diwali | 6 / 8 November 2026 | Last big buying window of the year |
What is worth buying in the sale?
- Laptops — ready-made devices get the biggest bank and exchange offers. Gaming laptops with an RTX GPU start around ₹85,659 in our catalogue today; compare the sale price with that.
- Monitors, keyboards, mice, headsets — simple products with no compatibility risk.
- A single part for a PC you already own — for example an SSD or RAM upgrade, if you have checked it fits.
When a PC builder is the safer choice
- Compatibility: CPU socket, motherboard BIOS, RAM speed, PSU connectors and GPU length all have to match. One wrong part means a return window and a PC that does not boot.
- One invoice, one warranty contact: ten parts from ten sellers means ten warranty claims. A builder gives one GST invoice and handles claims for you.
- Open-box returns: many sellers do not accept returns on opened graphics cards, CPUs or RAM.
- Fake discounts: an inflated "MRP" with a big percentage off is common in sales. Note today's price of the exact model number before the sale starts.
Sale vs builder at a glance
| Festive sale (marketplace) | PC builder | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Laptops, accessories, single upgrades | Complete desktop PCs |
| Compatibility check | You do it | Builder does it |
| Invoice & warranty | One per seller | One GST invoice, one contact |
| Assembly & testing | Not included | Included |
| Price | Bank offers on some items | Itemised quote you can compare |
How to shop the sale smartly
- Write down today's price of the exact model (for example a MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ventus 2X OC 8GB or a laptop) before 8 October.
- Check the seller: GST invoice, brand warranty in India, return policy for opened items.
- For a full PC, get a builder quote first — then compare the sale total, including delivery and assembly.

Frequently asked questions
When does the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 start?
Amazon has announced that the Great Indian Festival opens on 8 October 2026, with early deals running from 25 September.
When is Flipkart Big Billion Days 2026?
Big Billion Days opens to everyone on 9 October 2026, with 24-hour early access from 8 October for Flipkart Plus and Black members.
Is it cheaper to build a PC from sale parts?
Sometimes a few parts are cheaper, but the saving can disappear with one incompatible part, separate delivery charges and no assembly. Compare the full total, not single items.
Are festive sale discounts genuine?
Many are, but some show a big percentage off an inflated MRP. Check the price of the same model a few weeks earlier.
Should I wait for Diwali to buy a PC?
Memory and GPU prices have been rising through 2026, so waiting does not guarantee a lower price. If you need the PC, lock in a quote.
